If you are a horse person and/or hang out with horse people, you’ve probably heard someone say, “horses saved my life.” Horses have an incredible power to help us heal from both emotional and physical pain.

They bring out the best in us and inspire us to show up for them in the best way we can. So, in the spirit of the holiday season, the team here at Corro wants to show up in the best way we can to both shine a light on the amazing work happening at the EQUUS Foundation [hyperlink to https://www.equusfoundation.org/] and kick off an exciting partnership to support their efforts to save and protect horses.

For those of you who are not familiar with the EQUUS Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity established in 2002, it is the only national animal welfare in the United States that is 100% dedicated to protecting America’s horses and strengthening the bond between horses and people. The EQUUS Foundation safeguards the comfort and dignity of America’s horses by ensuring they are safe, protected, and treated with dignity as partners.

You may have seen or heard about their work as you can often find the EQUUS Foundation at national and local horse shows promoting horse adoption. Or, perhaps you’ve read about the grants they’ve awarded charities that have earned the EQUUS Foundation Guardian Seal of Transparency by completing the EQUUS Foundation comprehensive and unique verification process.

The EQUUS Foundation acts as the eyes and ears for horses who may be at risk, whether it’s from the wild fires have plagued California, or the transportation of young, healthy horses across the U.S. boarder for slaughter. Most recently, they are raising funds to help guardian charities microchip their horses in order to help keep them safe for their lifetime.

When we at Corro were introduced to the efforts of the EQUSS Foundation, we immediately wanted to do what we can to help such a beautiful cause that truly supports our favorite animals --horses. As a part of our newly launched content platform, Corro Stories, we will share stories around the EQUUS Foundation, their guardian charities, and other features around the horses and the team behind this incredible organization.
