Myler Flat Shank with Sweet Iron Low Port (MB 04, Level 2)
Description
The Myler Flat Shank with Sweet Iron Low Port Comfort Snaffle (MB 04, Level 2), is ideal for young and green horses training their way through the Myler bitting system and who show resistance to more restrictive bits. When the reins are engaged, this mouthpiece will rotate fully on your horse's tongue but a slight port gives a little more relief than Myler Level 1 bits.
Details
- The Basics: Sweet iron with copper inlay. Sweet iron will oxidize naturally over time, is harmless to horses, and its sweet taste encourages salivation.
- Level Up: Myler's unique "level" system means there's a bit for your horse no matter their training. Level 2 mouthpieces generally give a more relief on the tongue and the curved mouthpiece collapses into a "U" shape to avoid pinching of the lips and bars. Ideal for a horse trained on the basics and working toward more bit freedom.
- Benefits of a Flat Shank: Flat shanks are curb bits that require less contact than other bits. They are well-suited for advanced, dexterous riders who use soft hands with horses who respond well to light bit pressure.
- Independent Side Movement: Entire shank moves independently from the mouthpiece which means more control and clearer communication between you and your horse.
