The product from AniMed work great and the animals love the taste and when I ordered it from Coro arrived quickly to my house.
My gelding is very sensitive to insect bites and gets sweet itch from the no see ums and welts that scab over from fly bites. This year it's been wet here and the bugs are much worse than last year. We use Fly Predators, he's on Simply Flax, and we use high-quality fly sprays but he had to wear a flysheet, mask, and boots all the time. When the temps are in the 90's even a flysheet makes them hotter. So I put him on 3 in 1 BugLyte at the end of May. For the first month or so it didn't seem like it made much difference. But, then it seems like it kicked in and started helping. It's the end of August, and he isn't peeling from sweet itch nor does he have a single scabby welt on him. I also started giving it to my mare who often gets goopy eyes from the gnats. Since she's been on BugLyteI don't think she's had a single day where her eyes were goopy.
This product works the best against pest control! Affordable and the horses love it!
Love this product
I get weary of spraying my horses with poison over and over and seeing very little bug control. One of my boys has allergies from gnats and in years past I've had use sterioids and antihistamines to keep him comfortable and have searched for a healtier solution for him. I have also used a feed thru fly control for years . I decided to try the Bug Lyte this year and was patient, not expecting a miracle but hoping for a reduction of flies, gnats and mosquito bites. I continued to spray my horses (and I add some neem oil to the spray) and after about 3 weeks it was evident that the Bug Lyte was making a big difference in their comfort. I only spray the horses a couple times a week now and it's great to see that they aren't covered in lumps and bumps with irritated ears and genitals. I live in coastal Alabama and we have brutally hot, humid, buggy summers so I'm thrilled with this product and will begin to use it much earlier next year, probably March, before the bugs get bad.
