The Herm Sprenger Novocontact Brandoon features stainless-steel loose rings and a 12 mm single-jointed novocontact mouthpiece made of sensogan to increase satisfaction and motivation. Novocontact is a Sprenger design innovation that provides a softer influence by creating a unique oval shape, enlarging the contact surface on the tongue. When rein aid pressure is applied, the mouthpiece turns forward and the contact surface gets narrower, improving contact and bit acceptance for more effective communication between horse and rider. Single-jointed Novocontact bits are recommended for horses that do not take the contact confidently, and for sensitive-mouth horses since it allows the rider to give precise but soft aids.
