The Myler MBL Short Shank with a Mullen with Low Ported Barrel Mouthpiece (MB 06, Level 2-3) features slightly curved shanks with a loose mouthpiece attachment that allows for some slide and greater tongue relief. The mullen mouthpiece has a low, wide port that offers some relief while still allowing for correctional pressure when needed, making it an ideal choice for horses with solid basic training.

• Level Up: Myler's unique "level" system means there's a bit for your horse no matter their training. Level 2-3 bits offer precise control through ported mouthpieces that relieve your horse's tongue, however there will still be some degree of pressure for correction. Ideal for moderately experienced horses who show resistance to more restrictive bits.
• The Basics: Stainless-steel 5 1/2" cheek. Mouthpiece with a 3/4" port, made of sweet iron with copper inlay for salivation.
• MBL Short Shank: Slightly curved stainless-steel shank. The mouthpiece attaches loosely to the cheek with a small decorative stack that allows 1/8" of slide for greater tongue relief. The purchase swivels independently from the shank and is angled slightly away from the cheek to avoid rubbing.
• Mullen Low Port Barrel (MB 06): Myler alternative to a traditional mullen. The low, wide port offers enough tongue relief for the horse to swallow, but is not high enough for palate pressure. Curved shape applies pressure mainly on the bars and lips without pinching them.
• Independent Swivel Cheek: The purchase of the cheek piece is able to move independently of the shank, preventing it from poking or rubbing the horse’s cheek when the reins are engaged.
• Independent Side Movement: Entire shank moves independently from the mouthpiece which means more control and clearer communication between you and your horse.
