• Soft and large mouthpiece: Rubber covering on the mouthpiece creates an appealing mouth-feel for your horse.
• Pelham bit: Pelham bits combine the functionality of a snaffle and the action of a curb bit. Reins affixed to the top provide snaffle-like pressure to the tongue and corners of your horse's mouth, while reins affixed to the bottom of the bit increase leverage and curb chain pressure.
  
• Curb chain optional: The jointed Pelham bit works mainly from the horse's poll, tongue, bars of the mouth, and if the curb chain is used the palate and chin groove as well.
• Tom Thumb Cheeks: Shorter than traditional Pelham bit cheek design, this is a great bit for inexperienced riders as there is less curb action available. 
• Sizing: Mouthpiece is 18 mm thick; cheek pieces are 4".
